Hi,

I'm trying to get PowerPoint control from NetLinx and also I want PowerPoint to be able to trigger stuff in NetLinx.

My understand is to use i!-PCLinkPowerPoint and i!-ConnectLinx ??? Is this correct?

Is there any reason why these are classed as legacy - what do people use now ?

They are legacy because AMX isn't updating or supporting them anymore. I've used i!-PCLinkPowerPoint before, and it's adequate for basic control, like running a slide show. Cursor commands were a bit dodgy and very awkward to use.
