Does anyone know what the serial responses from this device mean?

The manual has all the codes for all the different commands but no explanation of what the responses mean or even how the commands are constructed.

I've talked to Viewsonic tech support on two separate occasions, both people told me they didn't have any information about serial control other than what's in the manual and that they would contact engineering and get back to me. Neither one ever followed through.

I've searched the forums here and found some old threads about Viewsonic code being the same as Hitachi, but this is a different code set than the Hitachi.

So does anyone know what the responses from this device mean?

I have the same problem with the same protocol. But more that responses, it is not working. Did your projector worked?
Here is what I have with the projector set up and an On command:

Baud Rate:
SEND_COMMAND dvPJ, 'SET BAUD 115200,N,8,1'

The ON command:
SEND_STRING dvPJ,"$06,$14,$00,$04,$00,$34,$11,$00,$00,$5D"

Maybe the baud rate speed is not well adjusted or the command but it is what the manual says. Do you have the same setup?
