Mssing 'Beep' on Button Press

A client with 21 NXD-700vi's called and said the panels no longer 'beep' when pressed. Is there any way for the panel to change this setting without a manual change? He doesn't know how to get into setup and I sure didn't change it.

I've seen this before (8400 actually); I believe a simple reboot fixed the problem. I don't know what caused it - best I could tell it was a fluke.

Thanks J that seems to have fixed it. Now if I knew what caused it......

Is the firmware current? I seem to remember it being a firmware issue . . . though may be wrong.

They are all at 2.81.6. Since that is the only issue I'm not about to do a firmware upgrade. This guy is a real anal dude and he has to have something to complain about so if all it takes is a reboot and he finds something to make him happy that day to complain about I can live with it.
