IRedit Help

Happy Holidays all!
I'm having some issues with IRedit. I'm trying to control my Samsung TV, and found codes from the AMX database that work fine. The problem is they don't provide separate commands for HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc., just Source so I have to "scroll" through the different sources. I've been reading through remotecentral.com's forums, and I've found about 20 different discrete hex codes to try. The codes provided on their site are in four digit groups (hex) such as this:
0000 006C 0022 0002 0157 00AB 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 0015 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 003F 0016 05FD 0157 0055 0016 0E59
That's just a random code to show the format i'm looking at...
When I import these into a function in IRedit, it imports just fine, but then when I go to "Actuate" to test the codes, the IR port i've selected doesn't even fire. If I go to one of the other AMX provided functions, it normally does fire, but sometimes not even with those.
I think I'm doing something wrong with the imported discrete hex codes. Can anyone help?
Thanks very much.

You don?t use the import function for hex codes. From the menu bar select Tools --> Discrete IR Hex Codes. Type in the function name, select next, and then paste in the hex codes.bwhiteford wrote: »When I import these into a function in IRedit, it imports just fine...

If that's what you are already doing and if the codes still don?t work it may just be that the hex codes aren?t correct. -
Also make sure you save the file and transfer the new file to the NI before you try to actuate.

Joe,
I think you're on to something with having to transfer the file to the NI first. Thanks!
