Videoconferencing system will be a Polycom with 2 Eagle Eye cameras. I need a good, smooth camera PTZ control. Any comments or recommendations on the NXP-PLV Positrack, or any other good joystick?
Thanks!

The plv is excellent. In face far better than the cameras you are using. It will work great.
However the plv is designed for very very detailed cameras movement. For a vaddio or polycom you simply have to take the level events from the device and convert those into pulses, if you use a module, or commands for right and left. Then make sure when the levels return to 0 you send a stop so the camera does not keep going.
Hope that helps.
Just did a plv with 11 cameras all vaddios. -
Well, we ended up changing to a lower-end Polycom VC unit, Sony cameras, and a Sony joystick. The joystick camera control is completely separate from the AMX system now.
