Ademco Vista 128/250 BP/FBP serial config

I am posting this here because I always seem to find different information every time I need to have one of these panels configured. Most of the time, I only find some of the locations that need to be programmed and this leads to either a panel that won't respond, or a panel that does not send all of the information required.

This information I have acquired in the past from various Ademco documents and a couple of calls to Honeywell, but I recently found this info in the Control 4 documentation for the Vista series panels. **** There are a few locations that are NOT listed in the ademco manual I was just looking at, but they are very important if you wish to get updates about the individual zone activity.****

Repeat #99 until the 'System Reset' or 'Ready to Arm' message is seen.

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!! If an alarm is caused by a zone opening, you must disarm the system TWICE in order to get the zones out of the alarm state!

I forgot to mention... 1*78 and 1*79 are necessary if you want the panel to send notification of the zone status changing (ie a door opens, or a motion sensor is tripped). These are the two sections not covered in the manual.

Ok where were you yesterday when i was reading their terrible manuals.

On Vista 128BPE, the log faults and restores is at location 1*80 and needs to be set to 1 or you will not receive zone faults and restores automatically.
