newbie: uploading source to NI 4000

I don't have the project file for my NI 4000. If I download the .src and extract it to the .axi and .axs files can I just upload and replace those files? Will the transfer overwrite any files other than the .tkn and .src? If there are modules or something like that on the master.

My advice is go ahead and rebuild the project using the downloaded source files. While, in theory you could manually replace them, that way madness lies.

Make a new project and in the Wizard, when prompted about the master source file, choose to import an existing file.

If the modules were not included in the original workspace, their source files won't be in the download. They will be part of the compiled master code, but that's not real helpful.
