X10 (cheap lighting control)

Some of us need to perform controls on a very low budget. There is now an X10 controller with a serial interface. It is the PowerLinc II Model 1132B. It is simple to control and works well. X10 now has modules that cost a little more but have better receivers. I find them very reliable. This new system offers two way rs232 and so you can get feedback. I have not bothered because the system is working so reliably.
I use it to control lighting very cheaply. If anybody needs protocols and sample code I will be glad to supply it. micoder @sbcglobal.net
