Device Search fields out of order?

Anyone fathom why you get manufacturer followed by model when you do an IR remote search, but when you do a device search it's model, THEN manufacturer? Add to the mix that "manufacturer series" sits where you'd expect the model number to be. If you're not paying complete attention (waving hand) you'd type part of the model number you're looking for in the series field and scratch your head when the search comes up empty.

I've always had trouble using the find in the program. I've actually timed it before and found on average, it takes a shorter time to search manaully, and then guess and load the file into an IR port and try it.
