Numbering of MAX Play Lists

I am trying to code a very simple touch panel to allow the user to play a couple of play lists directly by pressing buttons. To do this without performing a search and then interpreting the results from the MAx... I would like to specify that, for example, Rock is playlist 1, Pop is playlist 2, etc.
What I have found in playing with the play lists, is that when they are deleted, the numbers just continue sequentially... so when I deleted the first playlist I created, which was 1, I can never have another playlist 1...
Is there any way to reset the playlist database to start counting IDs again from 1?
Sounds trivial...but I would like to reuse the simple panel!
