NS2 Still Hogging Processor

Greetings,

I am still trying to keep NS2 from hogging my PC processor. Just starting the program, without any communication immediately takes my procesor usage from minimum to 54% and the usage will not go back to minimum until the PC is rebooted.

Please help!

Checked that here on my laptop. I only have launched NS2, without any connect. It picks about 16MByte of Mem, but absolutely no CPU load.

Studio2 v2.5.0.163
Duet Version 1.8

Must also concur...

Just checked my desktop and it wasn't even measuring above 1%. You might have a bad .dll or some other nasty thing going on. Perhaps you should completely de-install all the AMX stuff and reinstall.

Do you think I should uninstall then re-install or just re-install?

It is NS2 that is causing my problems.
