Importing Platinum template

Beginner question, but I tried to import Platinum template in to VA, I opened it in G4 then tried to export as a VA template but I get the error panel file was not found in the specified folder. Anyway, I want to create a template with multiple pages for one device ( lexicon rv8)in VA. Is there a possibility or the only way is with TDP4?
