NI-4000 with SRP-X700p

Looking some solutions to increase gain control of SRP-X700 to a specific value when the source being selected on touch screen, ie. I have SAT receiver, DVD, VHS, Tuner, CD player with vary sound output level, some is low and some is too high. I have read that the SRP-x700 has a command to increase or decrease sound input level onto it. I have tried once but didnt work yet.

Any comment?
