Programming via the Internet

I tried to access a system from offsite to upload some programming changes. I can access the master's Web Control (an NI-3000) by typing in the URL in my browser as usual, no problem. I went to Communications Settings in Studio and in the TCP/IP box I typed http://myhouse.org (for example) as I would in my browser. I used port 1319.
All looked well, but when I couldn't communicate I went back into communications settings, I found that the TCP/IP box displayed "http", the description box displayed "1", and the port box displayed "http://myhouse.org"
Seems strange. Am I missing something?

Welcome to the board, Jeff.
For remote access you type in the public IP address in the TCP/IP box or the domain name but you don?t enter in http:// Using your example you would type in myhouse.org You?ll also need to make sure port 1319 (or whatever port you decide to use) is forwarded in your router to go to the private IP of the Netlinx Master.
Does that help? -
Thanks Joe, that did the trick!
