UDP Query

Has anyone tried connecting to devices recently using UDP. I had a project recently where the customer reuired connection to Alcorn McBride DVM's via UDP. I opened a port, and could see it come online (in diagnostics), but could never get any strings to go to the device. I checked that the devices could be connected using UDP using the software available from Aclorn and Net spy to check the port & commands going out and they are correct. However, the Netlinx master just wouldn't send anything out.

I got one of the guys at AMX uk to try, and they cannot get UDP to function correctly either. Anyone any thoughts.
