Security Systems - Ademco Fast Format

I have a security alarm system that has rs232 access and claims to speak 'Ademco fast Format' protocol.

As this is a live system with police links etc i am loathed to experiment too far and have not managed to source a copy of the Fast Format protocol.

Does anybody know if the ademco files on the amx website are Fast Format protocol? Would make life a lot easier if they were...
