Multiple Duet modules accessing same NetLinx device

I know once a Duet module grabs a NetLinx (let's say the relay port on an NI-3000), that NetLinx code can no longer touch it. But does that device become exclusive to the Duet module that used it first? In other words, could I have DuetMod1 controlling channel 1 of 5001:8:0, and DuetMod2 controlling channel 2 of 5001:8:0?
