Retiring my Atomic 112-50 for 5150iii 50w

OK, I still use my '4 and my atomic 112-50. I'm just ready to move on, as the tones don't please me like they once did. I'm seriously contemplating an EVH 5150 iii 50w, and then still using my '4 in the effects loop as effects only, and as an interface to record with.
Anyone else using a gnx as effects only with a tube amp? Would I use the line out from the amp to record thru the modeler?
P.S. Shreddy, I notice Shania seems to have disappeared...is she locked in your basement?
