Been Awhile

Hey all,

Been awhile since I have been in the forum, as I have been busy with work and making music. Hope everyone is doing well and hello to all new members. If you like you can visit my site and hear a couple of songs by clicking the link below. I will spend some time listening to whats new in here. Have a great day and keep on playing those tunes. John

  • really enjoyed the stuff on your S/C page. Especially dug Deadly Waters.
Do you recall Tom Brokaw commenting on the Mississippi River floods a few years back, and wryly stating \"isn't it funny how natural disasters are only disasters when there's people there?\"
  • Went to your site and left message there. Sounding very nice. Keep on Jam'in

  • John,
Good to hear from you as well!
I was not sure if you had put your recording hobby aside and went full on with your art. Glad to know you are still enjoying your music.
    I enjoyed \"Seeking the Invisable\".
  • thatastrat, thanks for listening, appreciate it. No, I haven't left my music behind, still playing and also making some movie music which you can hear on my jrkcompendium page under music. Check it out, so heavy duty stuff. I am still painting lots of pictures though, did about a hundred last year - 2010 and already have 3 on easals right now. Just keeping busy. You can see some of my art on the compendium page also under artwork.

I'll go to your page and have a listen for anything new. Thanks again.

    John
  • I'll check more of your stuff later John :D What I have heard so far is most excellent bro! God bless! :D
  • Partch, Thanks for listening and for your comments, much appreciated.

    Peace and Blessings, John
  • Hey old buddies. I'm still around too. Good to see some of you are still sticken around. Forum sure has been kinda dead. Will it survive?
Wish Digitech had a tube preamp with the modern digital bells and whistles. They'd have my business again.
    Peace.

Hello Joat!! Glad to see people stopping by. It is dead here...I stop by fairly regularly, just cuz I'm still a massive GNX4 addict - I love the thing...it just seems like there's no one hanging around, even if the units are still out there and just as loved.
I know there's a lot of neat new stuff out...but nothing that I'd give my GNX up for, and I too would love to see DT come up with some neat new stuff. The GNX was a groundbreaking piece o gear...it seems like a lot of stuff they make now is just a different version of other companies' stuff.
    Anyway...good to hear from ya!!!
  • Shreeeeeeed! Hey dude. Thought you'd be married with 10 kids by now but I see your still dreaming about dating hotties. Life's short bud. :)

Rampage! It's really good to see you've waaaay improved on your music writing. Just checked out your site, and believe me, your not lowly. Your of the highest caliber. Blessings to you my friend.
  • Joat and Shred, I guess us oldies have to return every now and then to keep the GNX4 alive. I still have mine and use it all the time and have created some neat settings for myself. I hope you are both doing fine and keep on playing that music.

    Peace and Blessings, John :D
  • Yeah, it's nice to see a few old names...and I know that there's plenny of us out there - die-hard GNX owners...I still use mine as my primary MFX. Besides a BOSS looper and a Space Echo (both fun toys!) I don't even have stomps anymore. I just dial up the sounds I want, store 'em by name, and I have every sound I want ready to go. Try doing THAT with a board full of 10 or 20 stomps!!!

And yet, the techo-mastery I have, and the incredible git'r tones I achieve, has not yet gotten Shania to return my phone calls. Tragic.
And while I'd love to date a hottie...I'd be happy with a reasonably pretty girl who'd at least PRETEND to like me... :P
