Guess it all depends on what features you used on the gnx3 . Seems to me the RP can't duplicate the flexibility of all the gnx3's footswitches, i.e. individually on-off switchable fx if you use stompbox mode, or 5 switchable presets if you use bank mode. It's got no no 8-track. Maybe its models are better than the gnx?

I'm with 'fish. The RP's can't hold a candle to the GNX's for sound quality. I'm a GNX4 user; but I also have an RP155 for open mic's and other such portability situations. The RP, while small and pretty capable for it's size and price, can't hold the GNX's jockstrap when it comes to sound quality.
