This is like a long lost site to me!
Oh my God I'm so happy/amazed to find that this site it still here! I used to visit this site RELIGIOUSLY many years back! I completely got out of the world of guitar playing for quite a few years and just recently got back into it again. I broke out a lot of my old equipment that I hadn't seen in years and started trying to remember how to get it all working again! :P
The first \"OOPS\" that I had was when I broke out the old trusty GNX4. I found the power supply (I thought) and fired it up.. she lit up just like I remembered but for the life of me I couldn't get any sound out of it. I fumbled with it for about 30 minutes, and figured it was dead but I'd give it one last attempt by doing a factory reset- thus wiping EVERYTHING off of it and starting from scratch. That didn't do it.
It was only AFTER doing the reset that I realized I had the wrong power supply - 'DOH!. Once I found the right one it fired right up again and I got sound out of it!
I just happened to remember this site tonight and thought I'd come see if I could find any sage wisdom from the years gone by.. and it's still here.. but even better than that - I had completely FORGOTTEN about the mfxsupersite and the Guitar3456 patches that I paid for way back in the day until I saw the posts on here. I jumped over to the site and was even more amazed that I was still able to log in and get all the updated .zip files that were provided there. No I can't wait to get home and tear my house apart hoping that I can find the original CD I bought way back in the day!
Anyway.. good to see this place still around although it doesn't look nearly as active as it was once upon a time. :?
** oh yeah... looks like I'm going to have to get Parallels installed on my iMac if I have any chance of using X-Edit ever again. Can anyone tell me if X-Edit will run under Windows 7 or would I be better off breaking out my old old old copy of XP?
Thanks!
