Compressor Preset

I was stinking abt buying a conpressor then I thght..why not create or use the one in the GNX4.

Anyone done that?

Is it possible...i mean to just create a compressor preset?

    Been trying to make a compressor preset.

    Put it after the amp and the before doesnt work at all.

    The after works best but no bannana. hA!

    Thght I'd try the GNX4 compressor but doesn't seem to do it.

    AAMOF, I don't use it pre-amp at all.

    Might just have to spring for the compressor.

    Listened to 3 tunes Shredd..Pretty nice. I'm an easy lyric guy and was kinda making up some as I listened Ha!. Was wondering how much effort it wld be to add some lyrics but I got my own to develop.

    Hm. That's the approach I'd have suggested...maybe you need to fiddle around some more? I've had good results from using the compressor IN presets...

    Superkewl...it won't surprise you to hear that I wrote several of those songs either with lyrics, or intending to have lyrics...but they were SOOOO bad, that I recorded without them. If you have good lyrics to go with them, call my agent. :P

    I'm strictly hardware recording. I went through a long and painful period of trying SW/workstation recording...PTP and a few others...too much messing with the programs/computer/etc, and not enough playing/recording. Now I'm on a Tascam 2488 neo.
