Mangling The Classics #27
OK...here's another one. Still no access to my studio gear...there's this guy at open mic's who occasionally lets me grab his mobile recorder for a few minutes. I sort of throw a track on, no rehearsal, no takes, no mixing, no nothing. But hey...Zep recorded Zep I in something like 72 hours, right?? :P
So...here's an old classic I'd learned about 10 minutes before...played it exactly once before recording this...sorry for the occasional timing flub or lyric space-out.
You can tell why hott groupies aren't beating my door down. But at least I get to play a bit here n there...

Cool work.
Too bad things are so dead here these days.
Thumbs up mate!
P.S .. you still living at JS?
I've developed somewhat as a singer since I started doing open mic's in my little town, about a year ago; I guess simply putting on miles, doing various types of songs, is helping. I'm still deaf as dirt, with tonal accuracy to match, but I can manage. I use a DT VL3 when playing live, which really helps when I do Eagles and such songs requiring harmony.
And yes, I still hang at JS, wasting people's time with pleas for Anne Hathaway's phone #, just as I did here...
I'm glad someone still posts music in a MP3 format. Most forums are using you tube and I can't watch that because my modem is so slow, but thanks for the MP3!
Yeah...I use MP3. Sounds fine, easy to use and listen to. I'm just not down with the newest/latest anything, which is why I still have a GNX, still record on hardware, and check my facebook page once a year, whether I need to or not... :P
