I can't record anymore with 2.2 in windows 7 help

I am using pro tracks 2.2 and windows 7 with gnx 3000. When I first installed windows 7 I was still able to record through my mixer into the gnx. Now when I hit record I lose all my sound levels which were there until the moment I hit record and I record nothing. As soon as i stop the recording the levels come back and it appears normal.. I am getting frustrated please help someone.

  • Try these drivers:

  • Thanks but that didn't work. I get the green levels but when I hit record they disappear and nothing records. Could it be the update for windows 7 for the gnx 3000.

  • Try nudging the USB level control for giggles. That seemed to work at times for some systems.

Do you have any other USB audio devices running that could conflict with those drivers?

For WIN 7, typically it installs its own drivers. If you used the drivers from the Digitech Disc (for XP) you first have to remove them or others you have tried.

The other thing recommended is using a more updated DAW program since Pro Tracks Plus (free) has not been supported by cakewalk for many years. Take a look at REAPER or other alternatives like Cakewalk that have full WIN 7 support. There's a host of reasons you'll want to have a more efficient DAW software program like VST support and better midi control, hardware control surface applications.
