shredd strums!!!
Since you're all so rapturously fascinated with my exciting life :roll: I thought you'd all be delighted to hear that after moving - AGAIN (third time in a year!! :evil: ) - I got my hands on my guitars and got to strum today, for the first time in nearly a year.
My callouses are completely gone - my fretting fingers were sore in about ten minutes - but I can't describe how good it felt to strum some chords!!! I'm sure it'll be no time at all until I remember how to play and can get back to working on songs that've been sitting unfinished on my Tascam for that whole year. What a happy day!!! 8)

I set up the essentials of my studio this week, and I found that when I set up my GNX4, the 1/4\" TRS-TRS cable that goes from the GNXFC to the Footswitch jack on the unit is fried. Shorted. Dunno how that happened, worked fine when I packed it away...
ANYway. Anyone got tips on where to get a new one, maybe a nice short one (3-6' or so?). Been to the Shack, they wanted to sell me $40 worth of cables and adapters to make it work. :roll:

Just a quick search on sweetwater.com, and I found 23 different cables. They have a 5' Hosa 1/4\"trs m x 1/4\"trs m for $6.79
BTW, My sister Shania says hi! Shes still getting back into the swing of things after that rotten filthy ritch Mutt dude cheated on her...I told her about you, but shes not ready for a man right now

I searched MF, and found that Hosa cables are rated dismally, for not lasting more than a few uses. I'm trying to find something a little more dependable, even though it's only for my F/C, not for signal. But I'll check there, thanks!!
PS Glad your sis is feeling good. Tell her to stop denying how much she adores me and call me back.
EDIT: went to S/W and found a nice Roland cable that'll do nicely. Thanks for the reminder Dobb!!
