Link to a stopmbox/MFX website??

I swore I seen a link to a site in someones SIG. I had my stupid windows laptop get indigestion and croak on me and I lost all my favs and about 10,000 other important docs etc. I was just on it the other day but I forgot to add it to my favs and now I cannot find it anywhere.

  • I have some links in my signature, perhaps it was one of those?
  • Yes it was thank you so much it was the stompbox.net for some reason when I try to type that in I get something other then the site I was looking for.
It has to be forum.thestompbox.net I forgot that part but now I have it. Thanks so much I really appreciate it :) I will save it to my favs this very second so as to not have this issue again.
I also have a 250 gig segate I now do backups about every 3 days to try to avoid the darn fiasco I went through here 2 or 3 weeks ago. I am so disapointed with Microsoft I cannot believe this day and age they cannot get there features to work like supposed to.
I still wonder why the release new versions of windows when they have still not created or fixed one so that it works perfectly. I vent sorry about that I lost alot of files and money and I am still urked by the whole deal.
  • Hey I am curious can I add stuff to the wetpaint thing about the GNX4 I notice there is a lot of info not listed online yet. Do you happen to be one of the people that run the Supermods company that sells the cd's with the upgraded amps cabs and presets?? I have been thinking about getting the rock/metal CD but I don't really understand what the benifits are and what actually is on the cd. I do want some more aggresive distortion and so on with my GNX4 I really like the unit but I think it needs some updating on the amp and cab sounds and the distortion options.
One more question on my GNX4 I see a serial # but I have no Idea what year it was made is there anywhere I can figure that out??

I believe you have to register for WetPaint, then sign up for that board. It's open-access, feel free to add whatever you can contribute.

I don't have anything to do with the MFX guys - you can go to that web site and they have contact information up there. As far as what's on the CDs, it's basically a lot of presets that simulate real amps. Unlike the stock ones that come built-in with the GNX, there are hundreds of them, of various different channels, settings, etc. Many on the Internet also agree that they're much better sounding than the stock GNX presets.

I did a review of the GNX3 package, you can check it out here: http://guitarlogic.org/index.php?topic=643.0

    GNX4 package is very similar.
  • ya I asked them but of course when my laptop did its death act I lost the reply. I did read it but did not really understand what exactly I would recieve with the CD. I now feel like an Idoit asking the exact same question they had just answered for me. I was hoping I could find someone that had the cd's that could tell me what they recieved when they ordered them. Plus I am torn between investing more money in this unit since it has been discontinued. I have no Idea how long Digitech will be supporting uodates and so on. I may be better off updating to a RP unit and keeping this for its recording functions.

Check out that link above. There is a file list of everything on the CD in that thread.

As far as investing more money in a discontinued product - the SuperModels packages will definitely prolong the useful life of a GNX. Most of their amp models are comparable in sound quality to newer models that have been released recently.
