What the Heck is that Buzzin' Sound??

I got a really bad buzzin sound when I play  I give my set up, so that might help.

Guitar=>GNX4,GNX4 USB=>computer,GNX4 outputs=>Edirol UA25interface inputs, Edirol USB => computer. Headphones=>Edirol UA 25. Cables are Monster Rock(gold connectors), and Amphenol cable, both seem to have same problem.

Guitars are ESP M102 and Epiphone Les Paul Standard. The Les Paul seems to do it the loudest--very annoying. Everytime I hit the strings its very invasive. The ESP not so bad, if I have a song that fades, I can use the volumn control on guitar to where its not so bad on ESP.

Okay, all you techies out there, hopefully I've given you enough info-if not ask what you need so I can get this under control. One other thing, I have moved to another place--its all new, so hopefully thats not it. Anyway, you have your mission if you choose to accept it--this tape will self distruct in 5 seconds(sorry, flashbacks are hell sometimes). Thanks in advance.

  • Probably your speaker compensate control button. Give that a check. 8)
  • What happens when you are further away from the computer? If you move back, does the buzzing change?

Isolate the components. Try just the GNX and pc. Check the buzz. Then try the Edirol on its own.. just plug the guitar into the UA25. Check again.
  • Is it a continuos buzz or only when you touch the strings?

only when you touch the strings, that happens to me! now and then! And the gnx is not connected to the puter.. the usb is unplugged and with ear cans.. I hear a pop then it starts buzzing! when I touch the strings... seems to happen when I have been powered up for a while. I am thinking the PS might be near the end of it's life .. So I am thinking after it has been powered up for a while the PS starts to over heat, causing some internal BS.. That's my conclusions unless someone has anything else to offer...
  • Judaskiss, ever find the problem or solution?
