another clip LED question

I'm still looking through the manual and don't see anything on the clip LED.
Is the clip LED like a warning light? Can I fry or overload something if i ignore it?

    You shouldn't ignore it. Conceivably, you could fry a chip or something, and if your signal is bad enough, you could fry a speaker driver.
    At the very least, your sound quality will be for sheet if your signal is overloaded...

    More like a status indicator. Remember Fripp and the SkySaw. But if you wanna keep it together, mind the clip light...

    He's right, it's not mentioned in the manual. GNX4 does not have a status indicator for signal clip, from what I recall, because it has the VUs. The first mention of the clip light and what it means was in the GNX3000 manual.

    Clip means your signal is at or above peak, in short. You'll have to turn down some settings, or your instrument output. If it flashes only sometimes (meaning, doesn't stay on the whole time you play), then it's OK.
