technical question - need help

I have a gnx4 with powered monitors. Of course it is also plugged into the computer via usb. My buddy has a rp250. he is coming over to jam, and I am wondering if he can somehow play his guitar thru the rp250 thru my monitors at the same time im playing my guitar thru the gnx thru the monitors.

Im guessing I may need a small 2 input mixer for this, but is there any way it can be done with what Ive got – thru the computer somehow?

Have you tried plugging the RP into the GNX4 line inputs?

it should work. My daughter and I do exactly that when we gig --> but with two GNX4's.

Yeah that should work perfect. Line Dry setting & you should be all set 8)

ok that worked. however - his rp volume was much quieter than my gnx. i told his thats how it should be, but he said no...?;)

his master was all the way up. i could turn the specific patch volume down on the gnx, but thats a pain when switch between patches. is there any way i can turn the master down on the gnx, or boost the volume from the line inputs?

You might also try using a direct box into the mic input, which has an input gain control. Line in is not adjustable.
