What does the control on the left of the pedal do?...\"Record mode (Stop mode ) button.....there are 4 options..inst/mic

The maual barely mentions these!

You can select either Inst/Mic or Aux, as your inputs. The loop will then be recorded from the signal from these inputs.
If you select minus center, and the aux input is active, any sound that is common to both the right and left channels will be removed. This is, in effect, what a vocal remover does.
Selecting full range will provide an equalizer to the mix, adjusting the signal to make it more appropriate for \"full range\" amps, rather than for a guitar amp.
Refer to pages 16 and 17 of the manual (printed page numbers, not pdf page numbers.)
\"Learn or wither\" is a quote from literature. They want us to be smart guyz.
This is usally done on purpose so you can hear the track you are currently playing better. adjust the playback volume on the playback track.
...I used to have a Jamman. I know its somewhere in the manual
as shredd says...Play. Experiment. Learn. Or wither. I like that
...as my friend once said...\"they hide stuff like that in the manual\".
I am in IT so we admins usually refer to issues like this as a ...\"RTFM\" problem. :P all in fun Peaceout!

and, by the way, I think you're right about Shania.
So. Next time you see Shania at Starbucks, have her give me a call, wouldja???
