Scales ??

I was looking and downloading diffrent scales on this one site i mentioned in a diffrent post and I was wondering something, it looked to me like when i picked a style of scale like major or minor or pentatonic minor they were the same patterns just diffrent places on the neck am I looking at these right like all the pentatonic minor are the same patterns just moved to be in whatever key?? I hope i explained that right if not ill get some pics and explain better.

Every major pentatonic has a \"relative minor\", which is 1 1/2 steps (3 frets) below the major.

In deed that is correct. Once you know the Scale form, by moving fret/frets just raises or lowers the key your playing in. Unlike the Piano when each scale is totally different. no slideing forms up in down the keyboard.
