Different GNX's on one computer?

Here's something I've never seen here on the forum (along with workable advice on how to get Shania in to my hot tub...):
I've had a GNX4 for a dog's age, you'd haveta pry it outta my cold dead hands.
Now, I'm considering picking up a GNX1 or 2, for quicky/portable use, as in open mic's where you're on for 8 minutes.
So, that'll mean I'd want to put GenEdit on my puter, which already has XEdit on it for my GNX4.
Has anyone done this? Will they play nice together, or mess each other up???

  • If you are using a different version of X-Edit with another DigiTech product, the new software will install alongside this version, and your computer will recognize them separately.

I got an RP 150 to drag around, so I could leave my GNX4 home. It was only a hundred dollars, and so much easier to use. I can tweak the patches easily without the X-Edit software.
 I hardly ever use my GNX4 anymore. :P

    Why wouldn't they?
Um...'cuz computers suck and work about as well as subprime mortgages??? :?

Yeah, that's exactly what this is about - preserving my GNX4 for posterity and having something small to haul around.
So...I picked up a GNX1 for a few bux, and it comes with GenEdit. I just wanted to be sure that if I install it on the same PC that my GNX4's XEdit is on, that they won't screw each other up, or overwrite stuff one or the other needs, blahblahblah.
Chances are I'll have about 5 patches I use all the time, but I'd still be able to use GenEdit to make it easier, and to put patches I've d/loaded or converted from my GNX4 onto it....

So. How DO I get Shania into my hot tub?!?

This is still my best advice. (she is in Lake Geneva mostly)

\":) ...move to Lake Geneva, Switzerland, ...change your name to
    Franz-Zillertaler von SchürLong-zenjäger
...and open an Alpine Yodeling Studio. :?
Then send out free lesson coupons to Shania, and any Rush-lovin' hottie-schnitzels,
    and \"Yudl - Ay - EEE - Ooooo\"

Ah...yes...to be young, Bavarian, and a reckless drinker...

Now that first girl - she doesn't even look old enough to drink beer. But surely old enough to be my play friend...

  • Editors should play nice together

One is USB driver based Xedit and Genedit is MIDI comm so you will need some form of midi host adapter to run Genedit.
