Guitar Resolutions

Hello out there in guitar land
How's it goin'? 8)

So the New Year is upon us and New Years Resolutions are being made.
So do you have any guitar specific ones?

Mine are to develop my feel in different styles of music like classical and jazz and try and get that Gilmour or Friedman style vibrtato down

    I'd like to get down to the Houston area and look up Tal Rules.

    I hear the calling of a new amp this year.

    My goal is to continue to play with the praise team at church as long as they want an old dog like me.

    Another goal is to record an instrumental of He Stopped Loving Her Today, with my friend Larry the Bass Player.

    Continue to grow and get better. To find more time to work on Original song Ideas. Deffinetly learn & use some new scales. Start learning some new techniques say Bending more. I deffinetly want to start learning apergios up & down the neck! Never realy looked much at learning them to this point in my guitar journey. That ought to keep me busy for alot more than a year BUT these are deffinetly some areas I hope to hit harder & work on learn this new year! 8) :D

    I like the idea of getting better too :roll: although i have a ways more to got than you tAL :wink:
    I recently started relearning old tunes I had always liked... :roll: :oops: correctly...You know when I was younger I would just pick a song up by ear ang go play it.
    I re-learned \"Stray Cat Strut\" This week for the heck of it...and found it to be alot of fun to play correctly lead breaks included., ...between a DVD Lesson and a DVD of \"rumle in Brixton\" I think I have finally got it correct this time. Though i thought i knew the song relearning it taught me a new bag of tricks i I am going to continue on this rockabilly road for awhile.
    Jazz is to scarry for me but rockabilly is rockand roll with Jazz voiceings so iI can still learn some crazy chords man. :wink:

    I learned that one pretty much note-for-note at one point. Definitely lots of fun to play.
