Observation this past Weekend at GC
As a regular internet forum whore, I continually read posts from people who said... \"I tried such and such MFX and it sound like crap\"...
Well, yesterday I was at GC, picking up my Jazz III picks and I tried out the RP500. I like the construction. Very sturdy and I do like the footswitches. However, I can understand why so many people go into a place like GC and come out thinking that they are crap... The headphones that they gave me to use were just total junk. it made the unit sound like I was using a zipper for a stompbox..
Kind of a rant, but if you really want to hear how this thing sounds... Shouldn't you be able to try this thing through a real amp and or decent headphones. I know that Digitech can't monitor what happens at the store level, but if there product is being poorly represented, how do you know what you are buying...

My approach to these things is, I walk in with the whole setup in mind. So I'd say, I'm in the market for an MFX and a PA speaker to run it into. And I want to try out with that Epiphone you got on sale over in the other corner.
When it's a prospect of a sale, a quality in-store demo is much more likely.
Not bad for the middle of nowhere!
