Ouch - G/A/S - more new gear!!!

Since you're all so utterly riveted by my fascinating life  I was sure you''d all be thrilled to know that I just acquired a new synth - a Roland Juno-D. Much fun, makes lots of far-out noises. Not that I'm any master KB player, but I can see it being very useful. \"Look\" for it on my upcoming songs, and maybe even some Manglings. 8)

  • Holy Cats. Just spent about an hour running through the patches...even the factory ones are frickin' insane. This thing does all sorts of far out stuff. It still doesn't SOUND like my JUNO-60, but it sure does do it all. 8)
  • :D Right on SHREDD NEW STUFF REWLZ!! :!:
  • This thing is crazy. I could spend hours a day just fiddling with it, making new sounds and rhythms and arpeggios and and and. What a blast.
It'd probably be weeks before I got around to using it on SONGS.
  • I don't know if you directly had any influence on my G/A/S, shredd, but I just got a new Ibanez RG5EX1 electric guitar last night!

Not even considering another axe, but just decided to go take a look, saw it, played it, bought it then and there, no questions asked, and took it home!

If you see one in a store, pick it up and play it! It might amaze you! Sounds great, plays fast/smooth, and for under $400, it's worth every bit!

    Congrats on your Roland!
I've been looking at a Yamaha XS8... still... trying... to... resist...

    \"Must...resist...wife will bash my @$$\"...
Congrats on your 'binez. I have the RG3, which is hard-tail, and once I put DiM PAF Pro's in it and changed out the cheep plastic nut, it played and sounds like a MUCh more expensive git'r. GREAT value.
I'm gonna spend some quality time with my Roland tonite, sift through the patches and presets, fiddle with the arpeggiator, do some rhthym stuff...I'm really impressed with this thing. Talk about a great value.
And I fully expect some of these sounds to show up on two songs I'm working on right now, so stay tuned!
And set me up with your wife's hott single friend. 8)
