jam man volume problem

can anyone tell me why i cannot control the volume on recorded loops on this digitech jam man i just bought? maybe i am doing something wrong but loops are only audible on the 9-10 o'clock position of the pedal loop volume knob and will not increase in volume. any help would be appreciated. paul

You didn't give any details, but I'd be willing to bet that when you're recording your loops, the input level is so low tht the loop is recorded practically silent...so maxing the volume doesn't help.

On a GNX3/GNX4 recorder, this often has to do with record/playback volume control. I looked through the JamMan manual and did not find anything obviously related to your problem, so I can't help.

The inst level has to be loud enough. What are you running into the JamMan? If its just electric guitar passive pickups into the JamMan, you are going to want that inst level way up.

When I used my Jamman I would record onto the Flash backup tracks from my recordings in Protools. I remember trying to keep each track I recorded onto the flash the same volume. It was very hard to do so. the Jamam is very sensitive to the input of the recorded signal. That may be your issue hear. Turn up the volume on the input before you rec the next loop. compaire and adjust by ear accordingly to your tracks already loaded on the looper. It took me at least 2 or 3 trys each time to match the volume of a newly recorded tune to the older stuff I had on the pedal.
