Noise Gate problem on GSP1101 with an ext. preamp
After our looong chatter and discussion on the previous website of Digitech;
http://www.digitech.com/soundcomm/guitar_view_thread.asp?productid=235&thread_id=1077363029
I decided to carry this problem to this page in a stubborn attitude, until digitech finds a solution on this issue. This is a disgrace to Digitech and they' ll loose many customers for some among us have good reputation in music business.
Moreover, we are not meaning to offense any company or expecting anything to come perfect out of the box, But what we are telling here is \"noise gate\" causing the problem or not being able to do its actual job, due to its inaccurate placement before the loop, when you use it with an ext. preamp.
Some ppl claim that it' s w.noise cuz of the ground but what i am telling here is wrong placement of the NG which was supposed to be after the loop to eliminate the possible noise comming from your preamp.
I have tried contacting tech guys but they were not much of a help. I am sure they are planning to release a firmware update and some rumors are being told that it' ll be released in a couple of days.
Anyway, We' ll be discussing the matter and keep intruding ppl until we have a reasonable solution.
You can listen to some of our \"old\" recordings which i made at home 6 yrs. ago, with RP-14 direct to PC's soundcard, not so proffesional during those days but might give you an idea about digitech' s sound without editting.
