X-Edit: what are the advantages???

Hello, I have had my RP-250 for about 4 months now, and am just now looking into X-Edit. Besides recording, what are the advantages of this??? Are there more effects, or more presets or what??? I am just deciding if it is worth dishing out the money for a usb cable, cuz i dont have a job anymore so I am pretty much a bum now, so i am low on $...

Xedit is a PC editor for the devices. It is not a recording software program or DAW. The editor just gives you a graphical pc interface to audition and store presets.

so is it pretty much just a matter of opinion??? Like, its no different than editing it on the rp250 than on the PC ,besides preferance???

Some of the features available on X-Edit are much more difficult to access than on the RP itself. Also, you can visually see all your settings at one time, in X-Edit. It also helps you learn how to edit better with RP, because you can see the features much more clearly.

The n50 series are compatible with the latest version of X-Edit. I think they don't come with the disk and instruct you to download it instead - I haven't used mine in forever.

RP150, RP250, RP350 all work with X Edit, and version 2.3 which is downloadable off this website also works with VISTA. A Mac Leopard version is forthcoming.
