ART X-15 midi controller
I have this older piece of gear which has some really unique aspects to it for its age. First, it has two expression pedals, second, it has ten pads configured to send midi CC messages from 70 to 79. I am using it to basically replicate the GNX4 stompbox mode capabilities on the VG-99. It takes quite a bit of configuring patches, but it works. The issue that I have with it concerns patches over number 128. There was an upgrade made to the device, which mine fortunately has, to allow it to address patches from numbers 129 through 255. This apparently is to be accomplished by sending a bank number along with the patch number through midi. Unfortunately, the documentation available on line does not address this upgraded capability. What data I did find said it sends commands using the MMA/JMSC bank-change protocol. I also cannot find any documentation regarding this protocol. When I use the device with either a Roland VG-99 or a Roger Linn Design Adrenalinn III, it only will access patches 1 through 128. At patch 129 on the X-15, it reverts to 1 on either the VG-99 or the A III. So, and I realize this is an off Digitech topic, but, if anyone has an idea, how to I get this thing to send a command that results in me seeing patches from 129 through 200?

that may be why it doesn't do more when used with other companies products.
