Long Time

Started working on this last night. I am just debating what to use for some smooth solo's...not too much, maybe pedal steel or some acoustic picking.

What do you guys think would fit in the breaks?

Thanks, that's what it's all about...lyrics. I am hoping to sell these songs. They are going to Nashville in a few weeks for consideration so I am rushing through these recordings (knowing I could do a much better job with time) It's frustrating in a way but I can always add to them later.

Here is the song with the breaks filled. I went with a light acoustic picking style.

Hey BuzzHaze you realy have a handle on this stuff! Sounds great! Love the Vocals! The guitar tones are very nice! Just realy sounded great to me! Kind of country feel! I liked it 8)

Absolutely top shelf. A song that good \"could be made into a monster, if we all pull together as a team\"...(a`la Floyd)...
Anyway, consider it a demo...if you were to go in studio, a good producer and/or engineer, some great musicians, it'd be incredible. Goes to show the rest of us hacks what good songwriting (THE most important element of music) can sound like. Great stuff. 8)

Part of the reason I keep the recordings simple...as much as I would love to just WAIL out a nice solo...ha-ha!!! I want them to hear what they could do instead. It's hard not to do too much.

I'm doing a new one tonight called \"When I Roam\" lol should be called \"when I moan\" ha-ha!!! It's a hobo song. Should be interesting.

I listened to both posts and what I am hearing would be to use an unprocessed acoustic guitar with some steel guitar for sweetening,

I ended up going with the acoustic picking for the breaks. Really laid back though.

Very nice song, great singing. I think a pedal steel would sound real nice and add to the long, long feel of it all.
