Digitech....NAMM '08? Wish I knew........

Man I wish I knew if Digitech was coming out with anything new this year at the Winter NAMM '08.

New workstation I guess would be asking alot since the GNX4 is only a couple years old. (?)

MF lists the GNX3000....\"Quantity is limited to stock-on-hand.\" Do you think DT is fazing out this model?

I may be prejudiced here as a GNX4 owner, but it seems to me that the GNX3000 never really caught on. It certainly does not seem to have the ardent following of the GNX4 crowd. After 2 years of owning a GNX4, I still love the machine and have not found any unit that I would consider better, or more capable, for the price. I actually thought Digitech took a step backwards when it came out with the GNX3000. It might have a technically better audio chip, but it no longer has many of the great features offered with the GNX4. Maybe the market price for the GNX4 was too steep for many musicians and Digitech tried to offer a great product at a price lower than the GNX4. I just think they missed. But like I said, as a GNX4 owner I might be biased on my opinion. Take care.

this year i am gonna be all over Pick-up companies and hardware suppliers for what I do  I need to pick up some more independant luthiers to paint for as well. This year I'm having a 1500sq ft building put up just to house all of this guitar stuff as my present shop is too small

I totally agree w/ 'taus. Even though the '4 is an older model, I prefer it to the 3K, which I never had much interest in. And I think DT would really haveta outdo themselves to top it. But I suspect their next offering will have more to do with market postition and price point and what it's competing with and so on, rather than whether it's any good or not. That's why the 3K is inferior to the '4. :?
  • While all you northern hemisphere citizens complain about how far it is to go to NAMM, spare a though for those who's country has no such music equipment event AT ALL. :(

Save it. You guys have sunny beaches and bikini babes with devastating accents. 8) Not to mention good beer.
Besides, you've never been butt-probed just to get on a plane from Albuquerque to San Diego.

You should see the frequent flier miles Shredd has racked up since they instituted this procedure!

  • Actually, it's the reason I don't fly anymore. It's easier to get a cable guy to come to your house.
