GREAT POST
Amen!! But I'm not complainin
Hearing hime get that tone outta of a simple setup makes me wonder about mine
I also heard a story about Stevie Ray V playing a concert in NYC, then hitting a local studio after for a late-night jam. His gear had already started on to the next tour stop, so he was playing studio equipment, including some crappy old beat up Strat. He was struggling with it and griping a lot, when along comes Eric Clapton to sit in. Without a word he picks up the crappy old Strat and just SHREDS it, while SRV and the rest picked their jaws up off the floor. 8)
Cus you can see it at the beginning of the vid
I was looking at that and I can't find conclusive evidence to say that it is for sure an RP200. However, based on the circumstances and the fact that there are very few MFX out there that size with a wah pedal that it has a good chance of being a RP200. I'm just not sure that it's safe to say for sure that it is a RP200. Regardless, Satch still sounds great and plays great...
But if you listen closely he says how painful it was playin' that gui.... and the vid stops...
Part of it is that he has very good control of the wah. That's what makes his lead tone what it is.
He did mention the RP200 a Peavey Backstage amp.
In the comments section of the video linked by OP, Joe himself posted a comment, to the end of \"this is great, thanks for sharing it\".
Oh wait, you are the OP...
