Request for critiques

A few tunes my daughter did with her GNX4 (and Sonar).
My being her father naturally makes me biased by pride so I would greatly appreciate some honest critiques even though I think she is doing pretty well for a new (less than three-years-at-it) guitarist.

Yes - she plays very well for a 3-yr player. She also has a terrific voice, but it'd be much more apparent if it were recorded better....less reverb, more clarity. It might also help if, when she's recording her vocals, she smooths our her phrasing and flow - too stiff and structured, especially on the Stevie Nicks song...
Hope she doesn't hate me for not being her dad!
  • Sweet!! Can't go wrong with Stevie Nicks! Your daughter captured the emotion and feel of the original and great guitar too! Your daughter did very well! Only thing I would do is turn the vocal reverb down just a tad, not much.

Look forward to more tunes from her.

  • I think your Daughter is doing very well!! I think She has a great voice & yes probaly just a tad less verb on vocals? Anyhow She is deffinetly heading in the right direction! Keep at it. Keep posting, & growing, I know I have learned so much by just doing it posting it mistakes & all getting feedback & trying to implement suggestions. Nice post! Keep em comming! 8)
  • I really like this, What a Wonderful world has that line in it about \"what they are saying is I love You. excellent post. Thank you thank you thank you.
  • Thank you all for the feedback regarding my daughter-s music. It is greatly appreciated. I hope that the single-quote character (that broke up the web-link) in the Just Pickin rendition of hers was not too problematic. In the future I will leave those types software-confusing characters out of file names and web-links.

Anyway, I am grateful for this wonderful forum... many class acts in here with good advice, honest opinions, and willingness to share experiences and knowledge. Thank you all again.

    best regards,
    Chuck
