New Song - Gentle Mercy- \"Now With Guitar Added\"

Yes, you can use the GNX4 for keyboards as well as guitar. I played this song \"Gentle Mercy\" thru my GNX4 and it came out great. I did this song for my dad who passed away on October 31. I will mostlikely put some guitar to it as well, but don't know what just yet. Hope you enjoy the song, it is just a musical but has some power to it. Enjoy! :D

Added the guitar to this song and have posted on my Sound Click site. Just scroll down the list to find the song- \"Gentle Mercy\"

First song on my SoundClick site. :D:D

  • This is a nice song to listen to. I can really feel the emotion in your playing. The piano seems to be off a bit in the intro..not sure if that is intentional. Also, the bass guitar is really good, just needs to be brought up a bit. I like the strings as well. So the piano and the strings are through the GNX4?

The song is a little long, but enjoyable.

I am sorry about your father.
  • Moxioron- Yes, everything is through the GNX4. I am presently working out the acoustic guitar and electric guitar parts and will add them later. I have already reposted the master mix for what is finished and fixed the messed up keyboard part at the beginning by taking that part out, so the song sounds much better now. I also added some ambience to the mix. Check it out, you will hopefully enjoy this much more than the first post of the song.

Thanks for the comments and for listening. Enjoy! :D
  • I just listened to your remix, very nice. I can't believe that is the GNX4. It sounds like an old piano. Amazing.

  • Partch- Thank you partch for your comments. My condolences for your mom. Lost my mom in 1999, she was 69 years old. my dad was 84. Glad you enjoy some of my new songs and jams. I appreciate it. Thanks again. :D:D:D
  • Moxioron- Thank you man for revisiting the song. Yeah, the GNX4 is very multi usable. I have it set up at all times now with a mic (Audix i5), keyboards (Casio WK-1300), Stellar Custom Les Paul (w/ 3 custom pick ups), 2 Marshall amps (half stack), 2 Berhinger Truth Monitors (B2031A)
and I use all Magomi Gold series cables for everything.

You can do just about anything you have the time and the talent for and of course having some good musical software is always the final key element.

Thanks for the comments. Peace! John
  • Very well thought out and the quality is near CD. It is a bit long but a peaceful sound to it. I also lost my dad a bit ago although they have left us in the flesh they will always be with us and live through us. I wish you the best we will keep our father's spirits alive.

  • wisdomseeker, Thanks for the comments and for listening. Glad you like the jam. Yes, loosing our parents is sad, but not the end of the world. Life must go on. We do have our memories to hold on to and hopefully our parents left us a little wisdom to share with our own children. I too, am sorry for your lose. I thought playing a song would help to ease the pain and it worked. Now they are in the Lords hand. Thanks again for listening. John
  • Well, I have added the guitar to this and it really worked out very well for this song. Getting right back into the music after loosing a parent is maybe the best therapy that a musician can do. It helps to keep your mind accupied and lessens the burden of the loss. Thanks for listening and please do enjoy. :D

PS The song is a little long, but well worth listening to. Blessings!

    John
  • Rampage,
Sounds like you put this together for all the right reasons.
I hope the next time you are inspired that it is not a sad time.
    Keep playin', Keep postin'
  • thatstrat, Thanks for the comments, they are appreciated. Yeah, I'm hoping for better situations for playing new songs, all the time. I just need to find the time to do the songs I've got in my head. Thanks for listening. :D John
