Mangling The Classics #11
Put this together tonight, needing Power Chord Therapy to vent the seething wrath I feel towards my employers lately.
But, I sorta forgot what this song actually sounds like, so I hope it's even close.
Don'tcha love how I captured Young Neil's shaky, out-of-tune vocals; screechy git'r playing; and feeble solo abilities?
And yes, the pitiful punch-ins are my own artistic touch...
Recorded all on GNX4 except for the handclaps. I used the Britstack preset, which I've diddled for my own liking since I got it. Used my Jackson Performer, MXL990 condenser mic, my Peavey Grind bass.

I actually like your voice too. 8)
I gotta check out some more Neil Young tunes 8)
But Neil has some brilliant songs that are fun to play and good to cover...check out Needle And The Damage Done, Love Is A Rose, Cortez the Killer, Helpless, Ohio (I mangled that one), the guy's written about 1000 songs...
I couldn't agree more. I started a thread a long while back about musical \"geniuses\". I noted Neil and Blackmore (among others), since they proved they were the driving force between their original bands and subsequent bands.
