  The DT site does require that you be registered, and when you upoad toonz, it takes a while. There's usually a little popup window with a message, but the main window will \"change\" to say \"your file has been uploaded\".
  You also might have a cookie issue. Make sure your browser is allowing cookies from the DT site/s, and try Mallomars. They're awesome.
  Meanwhile...your tunes are sounding great. You play real nice and your sounds are great. Glad you're enjoying your toys. Welcome to the world of G/A/S.
  When you mix, make sure you place the instruments around so they aren't \"competing\" with each other...you want a sort of spacious mix, with each sound distinguishable.
  And old guys like me are going to recognize when you rip off riffs. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

  Nifty That was pretty good!! Liked the Tone and mix was fine IMOP? As far as the playing the Rythem was on & I could tell what you were playing with the Lead Guitar. Overall nice job!! Your not Joe BUT your pretty darn good! Keep up the good work Nifty 8)

  I have registered with the site and I have broadband connection. When I fill in all the fields and browse the file then click upload, the back widow goes \"cannot display web page\" and the file doesn't transmit... :?
  Will try my internet settings, maybe adding the site into trusted sites will help. I even tried turning off my Antivirus and firewall!!! :shock:
  
  I will get used to the mixing, but I like to hear ryth guitar in both ears. My fave band of all time is Van Halen but although I love all their albums I really dont like the mix in the first one....even though it's a real classic.

  I'm not trying to rip anything, I apologise if thats how I've come across, I said this was an attempt at the easiest part of one of my favourite songs, Summer Song by Joe Satriani.
  Thats why I called it summer.
  
  My first recording was just hurried down stringing a few chords together, that like Partch says very GNR...its the same chords as Knocking on heavens door.

  Hey Nifty - I'm sure that's the problem you have with the DT site - go to your browser's \"security\" dialog or whatever, and add the upload page to your trusted sites, and also add the site to the list of exceptions of where cookies can be accepted from. I bet that'd do it, and if it doesn't say so and we'll try to help. There's guys here a lot smarter than me. :oops:
  As for as \"ripping off riffs\" - NO disrespect intended. In fact EVERYone does it, ever since RnR started...and that's even BEFORE you get into the idea of covering songs. I only mentioned it 'cuz I recognized the riff as soon as I'd heard your recording. It does't change the fact that it sounded great and so did the playing. Rock on buddy and keep posting, I'm eager to hear more of your stuff!

  Well I've tried and tried and tried again!! And I still can't get the DT site to accept my uploads
  
  Turned all my security off, added into trusted sites, set full Mallomar acceptance and still can't get anywhere!! HELP!!
  
  Anyway, I've been playing around with mixing after your comments and also had my first go at punching tracks! My word this is a steep learning curve See if you can spot the join! Sounds so much better on headphones though, really gotta get me some monitor speakers....the wifes gonna kill me..I've spent the mortgage money allready
  
  If anybody would like to hear my efforts and comment, ALL criticism will be greatly received good or even better bad, I'm a big boy I can take it.
  And yes I know the higher part of the first solo sounds sh%t and I just improvised the new bit I've added, I've finally realised I'm not Joe
  
  But sheesh I'm havin fun!
