Partly Cloudy (By Tal)

Been reading Miles Davis autobiography.
Got inspired while working on some of his great standards and thought I'd try a little something different. So I took a break from working on the standards and wrote kind of a tone painting piece. I decided to name it \"Partly Cloudy\"..

I wound up with 10 tracks. All guitar parts done on the L5.
Standard drum kit, courtesy GNX4.
Bass done using the Guitar to Bass preset.
Standard rhythm guitar using the Late Nite preset.
Arpeggiated rhythm track using the Jazz Chorus patch.
Lead track done using both P/U's on the L5 and using the \"Surf\" Pre set..

Personally, I think this is my best job at mixing so far..

Oh yeah Tal I dug it 8) I've listened to this twice already

Suspect many more listens thru the day as I have save the file to the machine so I'm not streaming audio here at work. Just very interesting tune so much going on. I like how the tune kind of builds up at the beggining & gets flowing into that smooth, smooth playing Tal 8) It sure don't seem like you took that big break from playing & you just got back into it. But I can say I'm glad you did!! I always enjoy your post & surely are an inspiration for me to keep at it & get better

Very Nice Tal. I really enjoyed this one. Just a very mellow nice tune to groove on.

:shock: the only thing missing was of course the COWBELL :oops: :P Other than that it was perfect

Great work Tal 8) Smooth and Interesting, really nice stuff as always!! Can you play anything along the lines of Robben Ford?? I know its a big ask but I think you are really capable of putting something together - much more capable than me anyhow!
