So I tested a Nashville Telecaster Sunday.

Our worship leader bought a Nashville model Telecaster and let me play it Sunday morning.

This guitar was very easy on the eyes, I believe Fender calls the color honey blonde and the guitar came with tortise shell pick gaurd. The pick ups were standard for that model. Also this model is set up with a strat style configuration, in that it has three single coil pick ups and a five-way switch.

The first thing I noticed when I put the guitar over my shoulder was the weight was more than I anticipated: may be as heavy as a Les Paul. The body was adler so I imagine that is where the weight came from. I played the guitar for about thirty minutes and could tell it across my shoulders when we were done.

Other than that it was a pleasure to play. I used my GNX-3 on the VoxTop setting, green channel, that I have slightly modified with a little deeper reverb and an adjustment in the delay which I like. I was able to get the Tele twang or switch to the out of phase positions two or four and get that Strat sound too. A Tele and Strat in the same guitar. 8)

All in all it was a fun guitar to play, this one was very well made, a solid versatile guitar.

Ok so we have a filter that changes the hair color that begins with \"blo\" to to yellow. What's up with that? Something politically correct I guess.

  • I really love Teles since I got my 50 dollar cheapo last year. Would love to have a nashville edition. what a great Axe. I was pleasantly surpised to see my Variax models quite well my current Tele and alot of the cambered Teles as well. Never really new they had that sparkle to there clean tones the way they do and with the Strats kinda spanky sound that would be a great combo to have.
