Do you think it would work here?

I've been thinking about this lately and began wondering why is there no
guitar jam threads here? I have seen them on other forums and they have come out with some great stuff.And I know there is no lack of talent on these forums. So do think this kind of thing could work here? If yes why don't we try, if not why do belive so.

I think it could work and something great could come out of this.

There have been quite a few collabs here. I've participated in a couple myself. Just depends on the project and hooking people up.. 8)

A group of 7 guys plus me just did this successfully on TheStompBox.net. It's really just a matter of finding a backing track everyone agrees on, posting it where everyone can get it and record their part over it, then have someone dedicated to collecting all the clips via email and putting it together and mixing. If you have the time and the will, it can be done 8)

I think again as others have stated there has been colabs on songs. I've not been part of one personnally. BUT this kind of thing can work here!! Like you said there surely is enough tallent

If you guys want to collaborate, I have an FTP account setup at 44lbs.net for just that purpose (PM me for password; some already have it). I would recommend creating a separate directory for each collaboration.

I think it could work here more than other places just for the simple reason that gnx machines are all well equipped for recording and sharing.

It can definitely work here as many of us have collaborated, but the demographics of this forum make it less likely than some others. We're all primarily guitarists here. JMHO.
