Behind the Veil- Jeff Beck

I am starting to create my own backing tracks. I created this one it is fairly crude but it did the job.

I recorded all guitars using my RP250. I am happy to share the backing track if anyone would like it.

One of my fave Jeff Beck songs. Thx for listening.

  • That RP 250 really has a good sound to it.
  • Nice Job Mark!! Realy liked the guitar tone 8) Some fine playing there as well
  • Yeah macman that was really nicely played. 8)

    Nice vibrato too.

Not familiar with that tune however

I still think the new rp's sound more digital than the GNX's though, I've been checkin out the New RP recordings on the sound comm boards regular.
  • yep I agree Slash they are a touch on digital sound but for what I do I just like the small footprint and ease of use with RP250. I can live with the tone from it for now.

As soon as the GNX5000 or whatever it transcends to be next ...I will surely get GAS & upgrade to one of them

for now it is me and the RP250....Plus I have a Boss BR600 and I get some great guitar sounds out of that (Boss COSM). So when I couple that with the RP250 I have double the capacity and sounds.....

For now I am happy with my rig...which is really unusual for me as I used to trade in gear every few months and just get bored with the tones. At least I have kept my credit card in my wallet for a while.

thx for listening guys it was a quick recording as I wanted to do it in one take so I learn and practice from the experience.

    cheers mark
  • :D That sounded great!.

I have a RP250 too. It has a way better sound and sensitivity to picking that my gnx3 :D The last 2 tunes I posted were all RP250.

I will have to go ahead and \"agree to disagree\" about them sounding more digital than a 3000. I played both and I really think it all depends on how you tweek the patch. I would love a 3000 but the technology is basically the same right :? same audio DNA 2. just less of a footprint and fewer options and more streamlined tweeking.

everybodys got a diffrent ear I guess. also everyone has a diffrent sound they are looking for. My LD guitarist played it against his GNX3 and imidiatley noticed the picking responce and Tubish responce. To each his own I guess.
  • Mark, that was WAY COOL 8) 8) 8) . I don't know what it was about that recording, but it just hit me right in the music bone - I'm all giddy now  . Great job! I liked all the tones - they sound good to me 8)
